This is the model used to film the original 1960s Star Trek TV series. It is on permanent display at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum. Quite a thrill for this long time Trekkie to get to see it in person. Very impressive, but, very difficult to photograph with the display case and keeping other Trek fans out of the picture.
